Wow Ryan. As I read your blog, I have been there - COMPLETELY. So many times at church, we serve...and we walk away having given and not received much. That's where we HAVE to connect in our own time.

Usually my day is outright hairy until the kids are in bed and I have maybe an hour or two to myself. This is where I just enjoy the quiet. I read inspirational books, the Word, pray, sometimes play guitar or piano and let God strengthen me. These "quiet times" are what keep me going - even more so than Sundays.

Right now, I can't attend mid week...so I had my own mid-week at home. There is no excuse that I can't plug in somewhere, especially since there are a million online services, blogs, and videos that can inspire me and uplift me when I need it. I just absorb like a sponge.....

Thanks for sharing what you do. I am glad I am not alone.
